One of the core area of Kringlebakkens work is to strenghten the network of the women. In this way we seek to prevent social and health related problems that are related to isolation, and which is an everyday condition for many women with minority backgrounds.
The biggest part of the women of Kringlebakken have left their families and friends in their home countries, and the first years in Denmark are crucial for their future life here. Isolation leads to loneliness, mental stagnation and depression. In addition to the regular activities offered through the course group, Kringlebakken provides a range of network-building initiatives aimed at fostering connections across language and cultural backgrounds.

Friday Café
The Friday Café is a space for togetherness, creativity, and experiences. The activities are planned by the users of Kringlebakken. These can include lovely outings or creative hobbies like working with beads, sewing machines, or paintbrushes. We also cook together and throw parties. You can follow with out Friday Café activities in our calendar.

Holidays for Everyone
During holiday periods, Kringlebakken offers trips for women and their children. We venture out into the Danish countryside, for example to Kronborg Castle, Sagnlandet Lejre, or Frilandmuseet. Of course, we also explore Copenhagen's rich cultural life: puppet theatre in the Kongens Have, Dansekapellet here in Bispebjerg, or some of the many fantastic playgrounds found throughout the city.

Kringlebakken’s Garden – another place for people to connect
Children play in the garden, and during the summer, strawberries and herbs grow in the beds—among them mint, which we use for tea and cooking. Our lovely garden is yet another space for creating connections between people. We’ve held garden parties where we invited local residents, and our neighbors are welcome to use the garden as they wish. In return, they kindly take care of it when we’re away during the holidays.
